Welcome!

From May 18-22, 2026, we organize a workshop on eruptive young stars at the Konkoly Observatory in Budapest, Hungary in hybrid format. Due to the capacity of the venue, on-site participation will be limited to about 40 participants.
The workshop will cover various topics related to eruptive young stars from both an observational and a theoretical perspective, including:

  • Episodic accretion from low-mass to high-mass objects
  • Eruptive young stars at various evolutionary stages: from protostars to pre-main sequence stars
  • From individual targets to statistical samples
  • Recent discoveries from sky surveys
  • Impact of eruptions on the environment
  • Relation between accretion and ejection
  • Chemistry of eruptive YSO disks
  • Binaries, multiple systems
  • MHD simulations
